# 5 Bodice

Über meinem Hemd aus Challenge #4 abgebildet/Depicted over the smock from Challange #4

Aufgabe/The Challenge: Bodice
Stoff/Fabric: Leinen fürs Futter, Wolle-Köper für den Oberstoff und Einfassungen (Linen for the lining, wool twill for the top fabric and the self fabric binding)
Schnittmuster/Pattern: Dorothea Bodice aus "The Tudor Tailor"
Jahr/Year: Im Buch ist ein erhaltenes Stück aus dem Bayrischen Nationalmuseum mit diesem Schnitt abgebildet, das auf 1598 datiert ist. (An extant bodice is depicted in the book, which is dated 1598)
Kurzwaren/Notions: Wieder mein guter alter BW-Faden, den ich auf Lager habe und Kordel zum versteifen, sowie Spiralfederstahl für den Rücken und die vorderen mittleren Tunnel (my good old cotton thread, which I have on stash, cording and steel boning in the back and the furthermost front.)
Wie akurat/accuracy: Der Schnitt und die Stoffe, außer der Faden, sind okay, aber ich habe viel zu viel mit der Maschine gemacht. Ich übe das Handnähen noch, aber möchte mit jedem Stück mehr machen.
(The pattern and the fabrics, except for the thread, are quite accurate, but most of it a sewed with the machine. I still practice sewing by hand, and try to do more by hand with every piece.)
Arbeitsstunden/Hours to complete: Ich hab den Überblick komplett verloren. Zwei Nachmittage, intensiv. (I lost count, but two intense afternoons.)
Erstmal getragen/First worn: noch nicht/not yet
Kosten/Total cost: Alles bis auf die Kordel waren Reste. 1 Euro (Everything except the cording were rests I had on my stash. 1 Euro)
